There is an old saying "if you build it they will come" I'm sure most people heard it from that famous baseball movie, i have no idea of the name of the movie; however it does give me confidence in our final objectives. One thing that does stand out for me is that we cannot force the inevitable, we spent hours upon days typing out a database of businesses to add and fill up our search results, then we went to businesses and we told them the work was half done, we told them they were already involved , just log on and add a few pictures. Interesting to myself is that we were getting a lot of hits, business owners going on, checking their information, but not registering and adding a picture. So it only makes sense that we take them out of our database! we are not a Yellow Pages, We are on an environmental mission to get rid of excess paper. The great thing is, you can add your own business, and Justin (comp guy) is working to help service all the business who don't already have web exposure. You can build a website, but without the traffic it is basically a liability, we are giving an opportunity here to get away from that expense, or if you already have a website you can sign up your business and add your website. At the end of the day (i love that saying, one of my economic prof's used it frequently, haha) I kinda just wanted to say that saying, my point is, take some initiative, we are giving this opportunity to you so that you can give us the opportunity to create changes needed in today's society. thank-you Devin Bisanz

My first blog, thought of the day, what have you. Starting businesses is challenging but i love it! One of my challenges is identifying exactly how to stop all the flyers and promotions going straight from my mailbox to the garbage. Mentioning paper waste, while visiting my sister; who lives in a highrise on Cordova street in Coal Harbour, i noticed there are more then a hundred phone books sitting in the lobby still wrapped in plastic and collecting dust for the last two months. I was disgusted! and to think the advertisers pay thousands of dollars every year to sit on floors, or under cub boards and collect dust. I hope to create an enviroment where businesses can be online, with out having to spend overcharged prices to people with knowledge of the web (no website). Or if you are already online we promote your site and you are involved in an enviromental movement. Imagine if we can create an alternative to mailbox mayhem!!
